13 percent increase in transportation in Istanbul! Here is the new fare for metrobus and taxi.

In the July Meeting of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center, a 13% increase was made in public transportation fares. The full fare price is now 20 TL, while the student fare has been raised to 12 TL. The monthly student subscription fee has also been increased to 282.5 TL. In taxis, the starting fare is now 30 TL, and the per kilometer fare is 100 TL.

According to the decision taken at the Transportation Coordination Center meeting, public transportation fees in Istanbul have been increased by 13 percent.



With the increase, Istanbulkart full fare increased from 17.70 lira to 20 lira, student fare increased from 8.64 lira to 9.76 lira, and social fare (teachers, 60 years old) increased from 12.67 lira to 14.32 lira. Mavi kart full fare increased from 1389 lira to 1569 lira, student fare increased from 250 lira to 282.5 lira, and social fare increased from 864 lira to 976.3 lira.



METROBUS FARE INCREASED TO 29.68 LIRA



Electronic card single journey ticket increased from 25 lira to 28.25 lira, two journey ticket increased from 45 lira to 50.85 lira, three journey ticket increased from 70 lira to 79.1 lira, four journey ticket increased from 85 lira to 96.05 lira, five journey ticket increased from 105 lira to 118.6 lira, and ten journey ticket increased from 200 lira to 226 lira.



If all stops are used, the Metrobus fare increased from 26.27 lira to 29.68 lira for full fare, from 8.64 lira to 9.76 lira for students, and from 14.41 lira to 16.28 lira for social fare.



100 PERCENT INCREASE IN SEA TAXI FARE



During the meeting, a 100 percent increase was also made to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) sea taxi fares. In this context, the opening and first mile fare, which was 210 lira, increased to 420 lira, the transportation fee for 1-4 miles, which was 155 lira, increased to 310 lira, the transportation fee for 4-8 miles, which was 125 lira, increased to 250 lira, and the transportation fee for 8-16 miles, which was 100 lira, increased to 200 lira.
