A village has been quarantined after rabies was detected in a stray dog in the Besni district of Adıyaman. Following the detection of rabies in the stray dog that attacked 7-year-old Ahmet Uçar in Toklu village, a quarantine was initiated in the village. A sign reading "Attention! There is rabies in this village" was placed at the entrance of the village. QUARANTINE WILL LAST FOR 6 MONTHSThe village head, Mehmet Yaşar, stated to reporters that the village has been quarantined for 6 months after rabies was detected in the dog that attacked Uçar, who was returning from school. Yaşar noted that teams from the District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate are vaccinating the animals in the village. CHILD'S TREATMENT CONTINUESAhmet Uçar, who was returning from school, was attacked by a stray dog on December 25, and the injured child was taken to Besni State Hospital. The treatment of the 7-year-old child, who was transferred to Gaziantep City Hospital, is ongoing here.
