Former Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and former MP Gülten Kışanak evaluated the statements of MHP Leader Bahçeli regarding Öcalan in a television program she attended. Kışanak, who is one of the close associates of Öcalan, made a striking call by mentioning the date October 29.

Kışanak used the following expressions:

"Let me also raise my hand and make a call. Perhaps we can hear Öcalan's voice on the occasion of the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic on October 29."

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated the following in a group meeting: The terrorist leader who says he is ready for all kinds of service when brought to Turkey should come and declare that terrorism has ended. There were those who did not understand this call and tried to distort it. Let him come to the TBMM and join the DEM ranks and declare that he has laid down his arms, and shout that terrorism has completely ended and the organization has been dissolved.
