STRAY CAT BITTEN ON THE LIP
The incident occurred approximately 4 months ago in the rural Büyükkadı neighborhood of the Sur district. The girl named N.K. was attacked by a stray cat while outdoors and was bitten on the lip.
THEY APPLIED TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN SHE FELL ILL
After the child later became ill, her family applied to the hospital on August 10 and reported that the cat had bitten her. Following the tests, rabies was detected in the young child.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE TREATMENT
N.K., who was diagnosed with rabies on August 13, was taken under treatment at Diyarbakır Children's Diseases Hospital. The young child died today despite all the doctors' interventions.
