Ahmet Sonuç was arrested due to statements involving child abuse in the "Incel chat room" on the social media platform X. Aslan Değirmenci, the Digital Media Coordinator of the Presidency of Communication, announced Jahrein's arrest on September 13. Değirmenci stated: "It has been reported that the user with the nickname Pungent 666 (Ertürk Kösen) and the user with the nickname Jahrein (Ahmet Sonuç), who used immoral expressions towards girls in X chat rooms, were arrested by the court in accordance with Articles 100 and following of the Criminal Procedure Code." The Antalya Police Department also announced that Jahrein had been detained. The police stated that an investigation had been initiated against Jahrein for the crime of obscenity under Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code.
