The budget marathon has been completed in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), where the proposal for amendments to the Civil Servants Law will be discussed in the new week. According to the proposal, those who transition from contracted status to civil servant positions will also benefit from an additional step right granted to civil servants who have not received any disciplinary penalties for 8 years. AUTHORITY TO EXTEND TO THE TREASURYThe State Supervisory Council will be able to conduct all kinds of administrative investigations, examinations, research, and audits in foundations, cooperatives, unions, and their partnerships and subsidiaries. The Ministry of Industry and Technology will be authorized to establish revolving fund enterprises. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance will be granted the authority to extend the state of force majeure in the districts of İslahiye and Nurdağı in Gaziantep, as well as in Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Adıyaman, and Hatay, for up to one year. GENERAL HEALTH INSURANCEFollowing this regulation, the law proposal regarding General Health Insurance will be discussed. With the proposal, all debts of those who have not paid their General Health Insurance premium debts before January 1, 2015, will be canceled along with interest. Thus, the state will waive the SGK premium debt worth 2 billion Turkish Liras. Additionally, family doctors will be able to treat patients for a fee outside of working hours. Furthermore, some reports provided by family doctors will also be made chargeable. JUSTICE COMMISSION MEETINGThe Parliamentary Justice Commission will also discuss the Turkish Justice Academy Law Proposal. On Tuesday and Wednesday, group meetings of political parties with a group in the Parliament will be held.
