M.Ç. was taken to the hospital by the ambulance that was called, but despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved. DEATH NOT DUE TO TRAUMATIC INFLUENCE
A written statement was made today by the Niğde Governorship regarding the incident. The statement said: "It has been determined in the autopsy report of our child named M.Ç. that he died due to epilepsy and resulting complications, and that the death was not due to a traumatic influence. Following this unfortunate incident, an investigator has been assigned to determine whether there was any negligence in the care process of our child M.Ç., and an inspector has been requested from the Ministry of Family and Social Services' Guidance and Inspection Presidency, and an administrative process has been initiated."
14 PEOPLE ARRESTED
By examining the security camera footage of the center, negligence, mistreatment, and violation of privacy have been identified concerning 15 children and 1 adult disabled citizen who received services at the mentioned care center. 16 staff members working at the care center have been suspended, and a criminal complaint has been filed with the Niğde Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. During the judicial investigation process, legal action has been initiated against a total of 26 care staff members identified to have committed similar acts, 14 of whom have been arrested, while 12 have been released to stand trial without detention. The process regarding this unfortunate incident has been closely and sensitively monitored from the very beginning by our governorship. The public will continue to be informed about the results of the ongoing judicial and administrative investigations," it was stated.
