A double discount is coming for fuel.

While fluctuations in Brent crude oil prices continue, gasoline and diesel prices are also varying with news of discounts and price increases. Starting from Tuesday, October 22, a price reduction of 1 lira 87 kuruş is expected for gasoline and 1 lira 65 kuruş for diesel.

Citizens continue to monitor gasoline and diesel prices along with changes in Brent oil prices and currency rates.

VALID FROM TUESDAY

Starting from Tuesday, October 22, 2024, a price reduction of 1.87 TL for gasoline and 1.65 TL for diesel is expected. With the discount, the price of gasoline per liter in Istanbul will be 42 lira 69 kuruş, and the price of diesel per liter will be 41 lira 85 kuruş.

HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?

Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.

EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES

After the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that announces changes in prices, the union stated that it would not share fuel price changes with citizens until the legal process is concluded.
