The Rush family, living in the USA, broke a Guinness World Record by completing the board game "Hungry Hungry Hippos" in 3.75 seconds. With this achievement, father David Rush's number of active Guinness World Records held simultaneously increased to 200, making him the third person in history to reach this feat.
David Rush and his family, living in the US state of Idaho, made history with a new Guinness World Record they broke. Rush, along with his wife Jennifer and their sons Jeremy and Peter, earned the title of the world's fastest four-person team in the board game "Hungry Hungry Hippos."
THEY BROKE THE RECORD IN 3.75 SECONDS
The family achieved the new world record by reducing the previous record of 4.833 seconds for completing the game among four-person teams to 3.75 seconds. This achievement, later confirmed by Guinness World Records, added another to the long series of records held by the Rush family.
200TH ACTIVE GUINNESS RECORD FOR DAVID RUSH
This success increased the number of active Guinness World Records David Rush holds at the same time to 200. With this, Rush became the third person in history to hold 200 active Guinness records simultaneously.
THE ONE-FINGER RULE
During the record attempt, players had to use an original and unmodified game, start with their hands placed flat on the table, and move their own hippo using only one finger throughout the game. According to the rules, if a finger was changed or any of the marbles fell off the table, the attempt would be invalid. The Rush family managed to break the record by adhering to all the rules.
