The reason behind the family massacre that resulted in the deaths of 6 people has been revealed.

Mehmet Buruk, the cousin of Ahmet Demir, who shot his 30-year-old wife Emine Demir, his 5-year-old daughter Azra, his 4-year-old son Yusuf Eymen, his 11-year-old daughter Medine, and his 6-year-old daughter Edanur in Gaziantep before committing suicide with the same gun, made statements regarding the incident.

"IT HAPPENED BECAUSE HE DID NOT USE HIS MEDICATION PROPERLY"

Stating that Ahmet Demir had been receiving psychological treatment for about a year and a half, cousin Mehmet Buruk said, "He is a barber. After the psychological treatment, he was using medication. It seems that he did not use his medication properly in recent times, which led to these events. We knew that Ahmet was having difficulties recently. When he did not use his medication properly, he must have gone into a frenzy, resulting in him taking the lives of his four children, his wife, and his own life."

"HE HAD NO DEBTS TO ANYONE"

Expressing that they never expected Ahmet Demir to commit such an act, Buruk said, "Ahmet had no arguments or problems within the family. He was only experiencing psychological issues. He was a good person. We never thought he would do such a thing. He was at peace with life. He was a person who performed his ablutions, prayers, and supplications. He had no debts to anyone. Both he and his family's financial situation was good."
