A person in Çankaya district of Ankara shot and killed 2 children he had taken hostage and then committed suicide. It was learned that the individual was in the process of getting divorced from his spouse and they had recently moved to the neighborhood.

In Ankara's Çankaya district, a person shot and killed his 2 children whom he had taken hostage with a gun, and then committed suicide.

KILLED HIS CHILDREN AND COMMITTED SUICIDE

According to the information received, in a building on 758th Street in Naci Çakır Neighborhood, Murat Keklik took his children Yağız Keklik (14) and Doğa Keklik (11) hostage with a gun. Upon the notification of the people in the vicinity, the police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Father Keklik shot and killed his children with the gun in their home and then ended his own life with the same weapon.

HE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF DIVORCE WITH HIS WIFE

The bodies of the deceased father and 2 siblings were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the examination by the public prosecutor. It was learned that Murat Keklik was in the process of divorce with his wife and they had recently moved to the neighborhood.
