A Ferrari belonging to a taxpayer in Japan who failed to pay their debts was sold at an online auction for 171 million yen (1.09 million dollars), making it the highest price ever achieved.

The Ferrari vehicle seized from a taxpayer in Japan who failed to pay their debts was sold at the highest price ever in an online auction.

According to the Japanese Tax Collection Law, assets seized for unpaid taxes can be sold at public auction on the internet.

The Tokyo Regional Tax Office put the seized metallic gray Ferrari "F12tdf" with 1500 kilometers on it up for online auction with a minimum price of 71.3 million yen.

According to a statement from the National Tax Agency of Japan, the luxury vehicle was sold for 171 million yen (1.09 million dollars), reaching the highest price ever.

Another Ferrari vehicle, which was put up for auction at the beginning of 2024 with a minimum price tag of 56.8 million yen, also found a buyer for 94.3 million yen (606 thousand dollars).
