A ferry carrying more than 280 passengers caught fire off the coast of Indonesia. Thick black smoke filled the sky as those on board were seen jumping into the water, crying for help. Footage taken by one of the passengers in the sea revealed the panic that ensued.

Thick black smoke filled the sky from the ferry. Within minutes, the ferry was engulfed in flames. Footage taken by one of the passengers, who was swimming about 10-15 meters away from the flames, revealed the horrifying moments.

In the footage, it was noticeable that most of the passengers were wearing life jackets, but some were unprotected. Additionally, moments of passengers throwing themselves into the sea amidst cries for help were also captured in the footage.
