During the election for the new management of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) in Ankara, Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar walked to the podium while Ekrem İmamoğlu's letter was being read. A fight broke out as a large crowd also stood up.

The Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) gathered in Ankara to elect its new administration. The opening speech was made by TBB Vice President and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer.

After Seçer's opening speech, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Nuri Çavuşoğlu delivered a speech. Following his speech in which he drew attention to operations targeting municipalities, he stated that he would read Ekrem Imamoglu's letter.
