The fire, which occurred at the coal drying facility of Kiremitçiler Mine, caused a brief panic. According to claims, the fire was caused by overheating of the machines in the facility.
Workers who noticed the fire alerted authorities, while the first response to the flames was made by an excavator operator at the facility. The operator tried to prevent the flames from spreading by scattering the burning material with the help of the excavator.
NO DEATHS OR INJURIES IN THE INCIDENT
The fire was brought under control, and no loss of life or injuries occurred. While material damage occurred at the facility, an investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
