In the lottery draw held for employment at BELSAN AŞ, 121 bus drivers were determined with the participation of the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar. Fatma Hort Kumaş, who was evaluated for her application and passed the driving test, earned the title of the first female bus driver in Şanlıurfa.

Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar stated that a female bus driver would start her duty as a first in Şanlıurfa, expressing that they are practicing positive discrimination towards women, and wished success to Fatma Hort Kumaş, Şanlıurfa's first female driver, in her role.

Kumaş, who is experiencing the happiness of fulfilling her childhood dream, observed that citizens reacted with surprise and satisfaction while she was at the wheel.
