A first in Turkish sports history! National swimmer Umut Ünlü became an Olympic champion.

National athlete Umut Ünlü, competing in the men's 50-meter freestyle S3 class at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, won the gold medal and became an Olympic champion. With this success, Umut became the first Turkish swimmer to win a gold medal in Olympic and Paralympic Games history, leaving his mark on Turkish sports history.

Our national swimmer Umut Ünlü competed in the men's 50m freestyle S3 class at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

HE BECAME AN OLYMPIC CHAMPION

The star athlete won the gold medal with a time of 44.83, while the silver medal went to Denys Ostapchenko from Ukraine and the bronze medal went to Alexander Tim Josia Topf from Germany.

A FIRST IN OUR OLYMPIC HISTORY

Umut, who became an Olympic champion, also managed to write his name in Turkish sports history with golden letters. This achievement by our national swimmer is the first gold medal in Turkish swimming history at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
