A tragic accident occurred in the Besni district of Adıyaman, where a fuel tanker collided with a car.
4 PEOPLE DIED IN THE ACCIDENT, 3 INJURED
The accident took place in the evening hours on the 35th kilometer of the Gölbaşı-Adıyaman highway. The fuel tanker with license plate 02 FY 359, driven by Arif Berk, collided with the car with license plate 27 GG 300, driven by Mahmut Hamurcu.
In the accident, driver Mahmut Hamurcu and passengers Zeliha Hamurcu, Sevim Atlı, and Filiz Atlı lost their lives, while Havva B., Samet A., Hanifi A., and tanker driver Arif B. were injured.
THE CONDITION OF THE INJURED IS SERIOUS
A large number of health, AFAD, fire brigade, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the accident site. The injured, who received first aid from the teams that arrived at the scene, were transferred to Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital. It was reported that the health conditions of the injured Havva B., Samet A., and Hanifi A. remain serious.
The bodies of the 4 people who lost their lives at the scene were taken to the hospital morgue after the examinations conducted by the teams and the public prosecutor.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
