In the Tarsus district of Mersin, three people lost their lives and three others were injured in an accident where a light commercial vehicle collided with a truck from behind. It was noted that the three individuals who lost their lives in the wreckage of the vehicle shared the same surname.

3 PEOPLE WITH THE SAME SURNAME DIED
The accident took place around 08:30 at the Damlama area of the Tarsus-Adana Highway. The light commercial vehicle with license plate 46 NK 038, driven by Mistik Ali Gönen (64), collided with the truck with license plate 80 DT 162, driven by Fatih T. from behind. Mistik Ali Gönen, Mustafa Gönen, and Hüsne Gönen, who were in the light commercial vehicle that turned into a pile of metal, lost their lives at the scene; Ahsen Lina Yücedağ, Seda Yücedağ, and Medine Gönen were injured.
TRUCK DRIVER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Health teams were dispatched to the accident site upon notification. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances. The truck driver was taken into custody, and an investigation was initiated regarding the accident.
