In the Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa, 10-year-old Muhammed H. Ş., who accidentally shot himself while playing with a pump-action shotgun at home, died in the hospital despite all interventions.
In the Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa, 10-year-old Muhammed H. Ş., who was allegedly playing with a pump-action shotgun he found at home, lost his life when the weapon accidentally discharged.
SHOT WHILE PLAYING WITH THE SHOTGUN
The incident occurred in the Ovacık neighborhood of Hilvan district. According to the information obtained, 10-year-old Muhammed H. Ş., who was playing with the pump-action shotgun at home, was seriously injured when the weapon suddenly went off. His family, who rushed to the room upon hearing the gunshot, found the young child covered in blood.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS
Upon the report, health teams arriving at the scene provided first aid to the young child, who was then transferred first to Hilvan State Hospital and subsequently to Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital. Despite all the doctors' efforts, Muhammed H. Ş. could not be saved and passed away.
The child's body was taken to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures. Security forces launched an investigation into the incident.
