A little girl was killed when she was hit by an IETT bus, and her mother was seriously injured.

A 3-year-old foreign national child lost her life after being hit by an İETT bus in the Sancaktepe district of Istanbul, while her mother was seriously injured. The moment of the accident was captured by security cameras.

THEY TRIED TO CROSS WHILE THE GREEN LIGHT WAS ON

The incident occurred around 18:30 at the intersection of Veysel Karani Street and Atatürk Street, where a foreign national mother and her daughter, trying to cross the road while the green light was on, were caught under the İETT bus.

THE LITTLE GIRL DIED, HER MOTHER WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED

While the 3-year-old girl died at the scene, the mother was rescued from under the bus by fire brigade teams and handed over to medical teams. The seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital.

THE DRIVER WAS DETAINED

After the accident, the driver of the İETT bus was detained and taken to the police station. Following the work of the crime scene investigation teams, the lifeless body of the 3-year-old girl was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue. Police teams have initiated an investigation regarding the incident.
