A makeup-wearing harasser who disturbed female students on the minibus has been detained.

A person who allegedly harassed female students on a minibus in Yalova was detained following footage shared on social media. The harasser, captured on camera, drew attention with his made-up face.

STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR KAYA

Yalova Governor Hülya Kaya announced via social media that the person accused of harassing female students on the minibus has been detained. The statement said, "On October 7, 2024, the posts made on social media were accepted as a report, and the person who allegedly harassed university female students has been apprehended by our gendarmerie, and legal proceedings have been initiated."

JANDARMA ACTED WHEN THE FOOTAGE SPREAD

It was claimed that the suspect boarded the KYK dormitory minibus and harassed female students there. Following the spread of these images on social media, it was learned that the student detained by the gendarmerie was undergoing processing.

Meanwhile, following the incident, many students gathered in front of the KYK dormitory in the central district to protest the situation. Salih Kılıç, the Provincial Director of Youth and Sports, also went to the KYK dormitory to inform the students that the person had been caught. Kılıç tried to calm the large group of students.
