It was learned that Emrah Akpınar, who went missing, had also stabbed and killed his brother İdris Akpınar during an argument in the Liman neighborhood of İlkadım district in 2016, and was sentenced to 16 years and 8 months in prison by the court he was tried in, being released from prison about 5 years ago. It was determined that Akpınar, who was found to be constantly changing locations, was located last night in the Cami neighborhood of Atakum district. The police captured Emrah Akpınar in the hayloft of a house where he was hiding, using thermal and infrared cameras as well.

DECISION MADE

After being detained, Akpınar was transferred to the Samsun Courthouse following his procedures at the Homicide Bureau. Emrah Akpınar, who remained silent and did not give a statement to the police, said in court, "I was going to shoot myself too, but I realized that there were no bullets left in my gun. I am very sorry." Emrah Akpınar, who was arrested by the court, was sent to Samsun Type T Closed Prison.
