A minibus heading to a funeral in Çankırı overturned into a ditch, resulting in 29 people being injured. While the injured were taken to hospitals, an investigation was initiated regarding the accident.

A terrible accident occurred around 07:30 at the Dedeköy location on the Çankırı-Kızılırmak highway. The minibus with license plate 34 YL 3278, driven by A.K., overturned into the ditch after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

29 PEOPLE INJURED

29 people in the vehicle were injured in the accident. Upon notification from bystanders, gendarmerie, fire department, AFAD, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances after receiving initial treatment from medical teams. Due to the accident, traffic on the highway was controlled for a while in a single lane.

THEY WERE HEADING TO A FUNERAL

It was learned that the citizens in the minibus, which departed from Istanbul, were going to the Sungurlu district of Çorum to attend the funeral of a relative. The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
