HISTORIC CASTLE FALLS UNDER ISRAELI CONTROL
The Israeli army announced it had seized Beaufort Castle, built during the Crusader period near the city of Nabatiyeh. The approximately 900-year-old castle holds strategic importance due to its dominant position over southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated that the Israeli flag was raised over the castle, saying the area would be retained as part of Israel's security line.
NETANYAHU: A DRAMATIC TURNING POINT
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu noted that the capture of Beaufort Castle represents a significant stage in Israel's security strategy along the borders of Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza.

LEBANON'S STRONG REACTION
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun harshly criticized Israel's attacks. Aoun said his country faces "brutal and condemnable Israeli aggression" and vowed to work toward ending the suffering of civilians, particularly in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri asserted that Hezbollah would adhere to the ceasefire and stressed that Israel must halt its attacks.
UN SECURITY COUNCIL TO HOLD EMERGENCY MEETING
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot described Israel's operations in Lebanon as "unacceptable" and called for an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council. Diplomatic sources indicated that the meeting is expected to take place shortly.
CONFLICTS CONTINUE
Despite the ceasefire, clashes between Israel and Hezbollah persist. The Israeli army has advanced north of the Litani River in recent days, while Hezbollah has launched rocket and drone attacks on targets in northern Israel.
Reports indicate that over 3,350 people have been killed in Lebanon in the latest clashes, with more than 1 million displaced. On the Israeli side, at least 25 soldiers and numerous civilians have been confirmed dead.
