The cybersecurity threat has alarmed cryptocurrency users worldwide. The game developed by the Lazarus Group could capture wallet information through its website, even if users did not download it. The danger detected by Microsoft Security in February was recorded as a 'zero-day' vulnerability in Chrome. Actively promoted on LinkedIn and X platforms, the game used NFTs as tanks in a global competition. According to the report by cryptocurrency crime researcher ZachXBT, the group seized over $200 million in cryptocurrency through 25 different attacks between 2020 and 2023. The U.S. Department of the Treasury confirmed that the group stole $600 million worth of cryptocurrency in the 2022 Ronin Bridge attack. According to research by Recorded Future, North Korean hackers stole a total of $3 billion in cryptocurrency assets between 2017 and 2023.
