In the Selim district of Kars, 23 passengers were injured as a result of a bus overturning into a ditch.

According to the information obtained, a Mercedes brand passenger bus with the license plate 36 AAS 084, belonging to the Bizim Iğdır company, lost control of the steering wheel and overturned into a ditch near Oluklu village in the Selim district while traveling from Izmir to Iğdır. In the accident, 23 passengers were injured and were taken to the hospital by 112 emergency teams for treatment.

After the accident, Kars Governor Ziya Polat, who went to the region, stated in his remarks, "At around 13:45, as a result of a passenger bus overturning into a ditch at the Erzurum-Kars Highway Selim/Oluklu Village location, 23 of our citizens were injured. The injured citizens have been transferred to Kars Harakani State Hospital and Kafkas University Health Research and Application Hospital, and their examinations and treatments are ongoing. We wish a speedy recovery to the citizens who were injured in the accident," he said.
