A price increase for gasoline and diesel is expected.

It has been stated that fuel prices will be increased. The rise in gasoline and diesel prices, in particular, will negatively affect drivers' budgets. Details regarding how much the price increase will be and when it will be implemented have not yet been clarified. However, this anticipated increase in fuel prices is causing concern among consumers.

With fluctuations in Brent crude oil prices, gasoline and diesel prices are also changing with news of discounts and price increases. Citizens continue to monitor gasoline and diesel prices along with changes in Brent crude oil prices and foreign exchange rates.

NEW PRICE INCREASE FOR GASOLINE AND DIESEL

Starting from Friday, October 25, 2024, a price increase of around 1 TL is expected for gasoline and diesel groups. Recently, a price reduction of 1.87 TL for gasoline and 1.65 TL for diesel was implemented, effective from Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

CURRENT FUEL PRICES

According to current fuel pump prices;

In Istanbul, the price of diesel per liter is 41 lira and 91 kuruş,

The price of gasoline per liter is 42 lira and 86 kuruş.

HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?

In Turkey, when calculating gasoline and diesel prices; the refinery sales price excluding VAT is found by adding the ÖTV and EPDK share to the duty-free refinery price.

When calculating the Duty-Free Refinery Price, daily CIF Mediterranean product prices published in the Mediterranean-Italian market and the daily Dollar exchange rate are monitored, and a duty-free refinery ceiling sales price is obtained based on a certain price change difference.
