On September 15, 26-year-old Merve Menteş, who was seriously injured in the explosion at the pasta factory in the Hendek district of Sakarya, passed away in the hospital where she was receiving treatment. It was learned that Menteş was set to get married in a month. The number of people who lost their lives in the explosion has risen to 4.

Merve Menteş (26), who was injured in the explosion and was treated at the Burn Unit of Istanbul Kartal Training and Research Hospital after the first intervention, lost her 26-day battle for life. In the explosion that occurred on September 15 at a pasta factory located in the organized industrial zone of Hendek district in Sakarya, Mesut Şimay (27) lost his life while 30 people were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.

SHE WAS RECEIVING TREATMENT IN THE BURN UNIT

Eray Kızıldağ (23), who was receiving treatment in the burn unit of Kocaeli City Hospital, passed away on October 4, while Güven Albayrak (24), who was being treated in the burn unit of Istanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital, died on October 9. Merve Menteş, who was also receiving treatment in the burn unit of Istanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital, lost her battle for life. The death toll from the explosion has risen to 4.
