A shepherd who stepped on a landmine set by terrorists in Hakkari lost his life.

A shepherd who stepped on a landmine set by terrorists while grazing his animals in Hakkari Yüksekova lost his life. An investigation has been launched regarding the explosion.

Bedrettin Düzen (30) was injured while grazing his small livestock in the field in Yüksekova district of Hakkari, stepping on a landmine previously planted by PKK terrorists. Düzen, who was taken from the area by helicopter and transported to the hospital, could not be saved.

TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE AREA

Bedrettin Düzen, who was grazing his small livestock in the field near Sat Lakes in Dağlıca region of Yüksekova district, stepped on a landmine previously planted in the area by PKK terrorists. Düzen was severely injured in the explosion. Teams were dispatched to the area upon notification.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

Bedrettin Düzen, who was taken from the area by helicopter, was transported to Yüksekova State Hospital. After receiving treatment there, he was transferred to Hakkari and underwent surgery, but could not be saved. An investigation has been initiated regarding the explosion.
