The issue of justice in retirement, which has been widely discussed after EYT, is back on the agenda. AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, who made evaluations on the subject, pointed out that the retirement age in Turkey is low. He also stated that the current retirement system is not fair. SIGNAL OF CHANGE IN THE RETIREMENT SYSTEMAK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler argued that the current retirement system needs to change. Speaking on Kanal 7, Güler said regarding the update of the retirement system, "We need to implement a more just, balanced, equitable, and sustainable retirement system." Güler from the AK Party asserted that the current retirement system needs to change. He emphasized that while examining the retirement system, examples from around the world should be taken into account, highlighting the retirement age ratio in Europe. Güler stated: "Look at the developed Western societies right now; you cannot find retirees at the age of 45 or in their 50s. We need to discuss the premium amount and age again. I see that this system is not sustainable in its current form." RETIREMENT WORK IN MINISTRIESAK Party Group Chairman Güler also evaluated the discussions regarding the difference in retirement pensions between those who will retire in 2024 and those who will retire in 2025. Güler noted that experts from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security are working on the issue.
