The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Disaster Affairs Directorate has issued a warning for heavy downpours that will be effective from the evening hours in Istanbul. The rainfall is expected to continue until Saturday afternoon.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Affairs Directorate has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in Istanbul. The downpour, expected to start in the evening hours, is anticipated to be strong in some areas and accompanied by thunderstorms. It is predicted that the heavy rainfall will continue until 5:00 PM on Saturday.

RAIN WILL BE DOMINANT ACROSS THE PROVINCE IN THE EVENING HOURS

The rains will be seen as short-term heavy downpours in the northern regions of Çatalca and Silivri. The downpour is expected to spread across the province in the evening hours. It is warned that the rains, which will continue until Saturday evening, will be strong in the city center and very strong in the northern regions bordering the Black Sea.

Warning for Heavy Downpour in Istanbul

In Istanbul, it is expected that air temperatures will be around seasonal norms, 1-3 degrees below normal until September 21, and between September 22-30, they will be around 1-3 degrees above normal.
