A suspect is being sought who is causing concern among families! He gave money to 6-year-old children and had them pray.

A person with an unknown identity, who gave 10 lira to three 6-year-old children playing in an apartment garden in Adana, disappeared after saying, "My mom is very sick, pray for her. You are very sweet." Following complaints from anxious families, the police initiated an operation to capture the suspect.

TWO CHILDREN REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE MONEY OUT OF FEAR

The incident occurred on September 22 at around 4:30 PM in the Yurt neighborhood of the Çukurova district. The unidentified person passing by the street saw M.N.B., N.T., and R.G. playing in the garden of the Emre Apartment. The suspect returned to the front of the apartment, called the children over, and gave them 10 lira each, saying, "My mom is very sick, pray for her." While R.G. accepted the money, M.N.B. and N.T. rejected the offer. The suspect talked to the children for a while, saying, "You are very sweet," and then left the area. Those moments were captured by the apartment's security camera.

Mehmet Fatih Güngördü, R.G.'s father, who returned from the market, learned about the situation and tore up the money in his child's hand before chasing after the suspect. Unable to find the suspect in the vicinity, Güngördü filed a complaint with the Adana Police Department along with the families of the other children. The police began examining the security camera footage from the apartment and the route.

"WILL THAT BROTHER COME BACK?"

Güngördü stated that the children were psychologically affected, saying, "There is a market a few streets away, I went there. At that time, the children were playing. When I returned about 5 minutes later, I saw a crowd. I learned about the incident from the children. We immediately looked at the camera footage and we think it was not a good intention. He walks by looking at the children, then turns back and approaches them. This makes us anxious as parents. After the incident with our delicate daughter, we have started to be more careful. We take her to school and bring her back. Just a moment ago, while going to school, she asked, 'Will that brother come back?' for example. We try not to leave her alone," he said.

"HOW WOULD WE HAVE LIVED IF WE HAD LOST HER?"

Burcu Bulut, M.N.B.'s mother, explained that she gave birth to her daughter prematurely, saying, "Something could have happened to my daughter right now. I had an early birth due to a traffic accident. She was 27 weeks old, and we are very sensitive when it comes to my daughter. She was 900 grams at birth and stayed in the incubator for 3.5 months. It was a miracle for us. I can't imagine how we would have lived if we had lost her," she said, shedding tears.

The police continue their efforts to identify and capture the suspect.
