While the investigation by German inspectors covers the period from October 2019 to August 2024, the company does not expect any significant financial impact related to the investigation. According to the German press, Adidas, the world's second-largest sports equipment company, hardly manufactures anything in Germany. OUTSOURCING PRODUCTIONMost of the shoes and textile products are produced by contractors in Asian countries such as China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. Manager Magazin reported on Tuesday that Bavarian tax inspectors and customs officials raided the headquarters in Herzogenaurach, the factory in Scheinfeld in Franconia, and the logistics center in Rieste near Osnabrück.
