In the accident that occurred on the Tekirdağ-Malkara highway, prison officer Mehmet Sadi Genç and his brother Semih Genç lost their lives. After the accident, one person was injured, and the gendarmerie has launched an investigation.
In Tekirdağ, in an accident involving one truck and three vehicles, prison officer Mehmet Sadi Genç (27) and his brother Semih Genç (23) lost their lives, while one person was injured. The accident occurred around 23:30 at the Yağcı Junction on the Tekirdağ-Malkara highway. The car with license plate 59 AGJ 365, driven by prison officer Mehmet Sadi Genç, collided with the truck with license plate 45 YB 417, driven by Kamil İ. (63), who was making a turn at the junction. At that moment, the car with license plate 10 H 1032, driven by Y. G., also crashed into the car with license plate 59 AGJ 365. Driver Genç and his brother Semih Genç were trapped in the car, while H.G. in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK AND THE CAR HAS BEEN DETAINED
Upon notification from bystanders, gendarmerie, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. During the health team's examination, it was determined that Mehmet Sadi Genç and his brother Semih Genç in the car had died. The gendarmerie detained truck driver Kamil İ. and car driver Y.G.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
