The accident occurred on Tuesday, November 12, around 19:00 in the Özgür Neighborhood, where a light commercial vehicle driven by Ramazan Emre Çevik collided with the motorcycle ridden by Mehmet Aktaş.
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Mehmet Aktaş, who was taken to Burdur State Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite the interventions.
Mehmet Aktaş, whose funeral was taken to his hometown Menteş village in the Sandıklı district of Afyonkarahisar, was bid farewell to his final journey in tears here.

HE WAS SENT TO PRISONAfter the accident, the driver of the light commercial vehicle, Ramazan Emre Çevik, was arrested on the charge of 'causing death by negligence' and sent to Burdur E-Type Closed Prison after his procedures at the police station.
