A yellow code warning has been issued, severe winter is approaching.

The meteorology department has issued a "yellow" coded warning for 4 provinces due to the expected heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong rain mixed with snow and snow in the high regions in the Eastern Black Sea.

RAIN MIXED WITH SNOW IS COMING

It is expected that the precipitation to be observed in the Eastern Black Sea will be strong (25-60 kg/m2) from the early hours of today, especially in the eastern part of Giresun, the western and eastern districts of Trabzon, as well as around Rize and Artvin.

In the coastal areas, heavy rain and thunderstorms are predicted, while in the high regions of Rize and Artvin (2000 meters and above), strong rain mixed with snow and snow is expected.

People are advised to be cautious and take precautions against negative impacts such as floods, water accumulation, lightning, strong winds, snowfall, blizzard-like precipitation, and disruptions in transportation in the areas where these conditions are expected.
