The suspects detained in Izmir in connection with the killing of Can Polat, who served as the bodyguard for social media phenomenon Dilan Polat and is the cousin of her husband Engin Polat, have been referred to the courthouse.

4 SUSPECTS CAPTURED

Within the scope of joint operations conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime Branch and the Intelligence Branch, the 2 suspects who carried out the "intentional killing" incident on June 3 and engaged in reconnaissance activities were captured in Izmir along with the automatic pistol used in the act.

ALLEGATION: "THEY FOUND THE LOCATION FROM DILAN'S POST"

In the investigation into the murder of Can Polat, which caused outrage in Cesme, Izmir, it has been revealed how the Dalton organized crime syndicate tracked the Polat family. According to allegations, the Polat family had come to Cesme on an almost secret vacation, and their accommodation was kept hidden from everyone for security reasons. However, an instant social media post by the luxury lifestyle known phenomenon Dilan Polat caught the attention of the crime syndicate.

According to the claim, the organized crime syndicate known as the 'Daltons' deciphered the hotel where the family was staying in Alacati second by second from the background details and location information in the video shared by Dilan Polat. Immediately after the post, upon orders from the syndicate leaders, hitman Serhat A. was dispatched to the area.

DILAN POLAT'S ACCOUNT CLOSED

Dilan Polat's video recording during the moments Can Polat was shot drew backlash. Going live, Dilan Polat said tearfully, "Please, police, ambulance… They shot Can Polat. My God, our lives have become a nightmare now. Please, we are all stuck in the room."

After the backlash that followed the broadcast, the Ministry of Family and Social Services stepped in. The Ministry filed an application to impose access restrictions on Dilan Polat's Instagram account.

Evaluating the application, the Ankara Criminal Judgeship of Peace decided to impose access restrictions on Dilan Polat's Instagram account with 6.3 million followers, citing reasons of protecting public order and safeguarding general health.

After the technical process was completed, the decision was implemented, and Dilan Polat's Instagram account was blocked from access in Turkey.
