EPDK has increased the electricity security deposits to be applied in 2025 by 47 percent. The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has raised the security deposits to be applied under the Electricity Market Consumer Services Regulation by 47 percent. Accordingly, the security deposit to be paid by the industrial and public sectors, as well as private service sectors and other subscribers, has increased from 387.1 TL to 569.4 TL.

Residential subscribers who paid 136.2 TL in 2024 will pay a security deposit of 200.3 TL in 2025. The families of martyrs and combat veterans, who paid a security deposit of 68 TL in 2024, will also be charged a security deposit of 100 TL in 2025. Agricultural irrigation and lighting subscribers, who paid a security deposit of 183.7 TL in 2024, along with other subscribers, will pay a security deposit of 270.2 TL in 2025.
