Ahmet Yarbaşı (74), who married N.Y. (60) after the death of his wife of 47 years, stated that his life has turned into a nightmare. After being married to N.Y. for 1.5 years, Yarbaşı decided to divorce due to their experiences, stating that his wife wanted half of the house she bought with her retirement bonus 32 years ago, and he explained that he left the house and started living in his car. "Living in a car is very difficult," said Yarbaşı, who is waiting for the divorce case to be resolved as soon as possible. HER REQUESTS INCREASEDAhmet Yarbaşı, who lives in the Muratpaşa district, lost his wife Leyla Yarbaşı, who had been bedridden for a while due to illness, in 2020. With the help of his friends, Ahmet Yarbaşı married N.Y. in 2021, whom he met through them. Everything was fine in the first three months of Ahmet Yarbaşı's marriage, as he was trying to experience his second spring. However, it is claimed that after three months, N.Y.'s demands from Yarbaşı increased, leading to a conflict between the couple. Following this, Ahmet Yarbaşı left the house and moved in with his relatives. HE COULDN'T ENTER HIS HOUSEYarbaşı, who also filed for divorce, could not enter the house he bought with his retirement bonus 32 years ago due to a restraining order obtained by N.Y. With the intervention of Yarbaşı's children, the couple reconciled again but started experiencing similar problems. When Ahmet Yarbaşı expressed his desire to divorce, it is claimed that N.Y. demanded half of the house and car that Yarbaşı bought 32 years ago and stated that she would not leave the house. Ahmet Yarbaşı left the house 1.5 months ago. While the case is ongoing, Yarbaşı began living in his car parked on the street. During the day, Yarbaşı goes to his friends' workplaces, and at night, he sleeps in his car with his blanket and belongings. "SHE WAS CONSTANTLY INSULTING ME"Sharing his experiences with DHA reporter, Ahmet Yarbaşı said, "I got married through my friends a year after my wife passed away. Everything was fine for the first three months. Then my wife started to change. She constantly began to ask for things, but since my financial situation was not sufficient, we grew apart. I left the house and filed a lawsuit. We were apart for about 4 months. During this time, she obtained a restraining order. Then we reconciled through my daughter, but similar issues arose again 12 days later. When I said I wanted a divorce, she said, 'I won't divorce.' However, I filed for divorce again. Yarbaşı, who stated that he is waiting for the case to be resolved as soon as possible, said, "I left the house myself. She was constantly insulting me. I left to avoid saying something harsh. I bought the house 32 years ago with my retirement bonus. She is not leaving the house either. She wants half of the house and the money for the car. I want to return to my own home. I am living in my car here and there. Sometimes I go to my relatives' houses. Living in a car is very difficult," he said.
