INTERIM DECISION ANNOUNCED IN THE 5TH SESSION

In the 5th session of the trial of Sinan Ateş, former President of the Idealist Hearths, who was killed as a result of an assassination after Friday prayers in Ankara, the court announced its interim decision.

10 PEOPLE RELEASED

In the trial where 22 detained defendants were tried, the court decided to release Zekeriya Asarkaya, Hakan Saraç, Aytaç Ataç, Caner Günay, Umut Ersoy, Alper Atay, Mehmet Yüce, Erdem Karadeniz, Osman Bayraktar, and Ufuk Köktürk by evaluating the time spent in detention and applying travel ban and judicial control measures.

12 PEOPLE ARE BEING TRIED IN DETENTION

The release requests of the defendants Eray Özyağcı, Vedat Balkaya, Suat Kurt, Doğukan Çep, Tolgahan Demirbaş, Aşkın Mert Gelenbey, Murat Can Çolak, Mustafa Uzunlar, Emre Yüksel, Mustafa Emsar Aykal, Çağlar Zorlu, and Serdar Öktem were rejected and their detention was continued due to the strong suspicion of crime based on the nature of the charges against them.

2ND HEARING ON JULY 19

The court adjourned the trial to July 19 in order to prepare the prosecutor's final opinion.

In the session where the plaintiff and plaintiff's lawyers were heard, Ayşe Ateş, the wife of Sinan Ateş, said, "Sinan instructed İzzet Ulvi Yönter, Semih Yalçın, Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım, and Olcay Kılavuz to find a hitman to kill me."
