The leader of the Future Party, Ahmet Davutoğlu, who clarified his statement "I have not broken away from the AK Party," said, "If President Erdoğan calls me, I will go."

The political circles in Ankara have been stirred by the statement of Ahmet Davutoğlu, the Chairman of the Future Party, saying 'I have not broken away from the AK Party,' which was criticized by some members of the AK Party.

"NO ONE SHOULD TAKE OFFENSE, I CAME FROM AMONG THEM"

Davutoğlu stated the following during a meeting with journalists in Konya: "I have never broken away from the AK Party in spirit. I am not pursuing any past accounts. I extend my hand to everyone, both the opposition and the government. Our door is open to anyone who wants to meet with us. As for the masses, I am a part of those masses, no one should take offense. I came from among them."

In the last general election held in 2023, Davutoğlu, who competed against the AK Party and President Erdoğan by being part of the Nation Alliance, clarified his statements during a live broadcast.

"IF PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN CALLS, I WILL GO"

Davutoğlu commented on his potential joining of the AK Party by saying, "I have not broken away from the AK Party. If President Erdoğan calls, I will go."
