Aircraft From Istanbul Makes Emergency Landing In Astana Airport

An aircraft from Istanbul made an emergency landing in Astana, the press service of the capital's airport reported on July 28.



"An aircraft on the Istanbul-Novosibirsk route made an emergency landing in Astana airport. The emergency landing was made due to a dense fog. There was not any serious damage or failure," the press-service said.



In total, the flights of six routes from the Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport were delayed and three aircrafts had to make landing at alternate airports, due to the dense fog, the media reported.



Due to bad weather conditions on the night of July 28, the flights from St. Petersburg and Antalya made an emergency landing in Kemerovo, and the aircraft arriving from Istanbul, sat on the alternate airport in Astana, the press-service reported. The flights which had to make emergency landing in Kemerovo have already arrived in Novosibirsk. The arrival flight from Astana is expected at 10: 30 local time.
