AK Party Secretary General Eyyüp Kadir İnan made harsh statements targeting CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. İnan described Özel's remarks, which he criticized through CHP municipalities, as "politics of lies and slander."
AK Party Secretary General and İzmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan responded harshly to the speech made by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel at the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's mass opening ceremony.
“FRIEND OF THE KING OF PAVILIONS”
In his statement, İnan targeted Özel and listed his criticisms based on the scandals he claimed occurred in CHP municipalities. İnan, who also made references to Ekrem İmamoğlu, accused the CHP administration of engaging in “politics of lies and slander.”
İnan used the following expressions: “The close friend of the CHP's Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, the king of pavilions and music halls… The political hostage of Ekrem İmamoğlu… The lawyer of CHP mayors who hire their mistresses in CHP municipalities and send them on vacation with public money… Özgür Özel, whom İmamoğlu's contractors refer to as ‘cute chimpanzee,’ has come to İzmir… What has he brought with him? Lies. Slander. He has had no difficulty carrying these because his sense of shame has burst.”

Emphasizing that the people of İzmir no longer accept these statements, İnan continued his remarks: “İzmir now sees you and your politics of fear as a great lie. This lying state of yours is the most pathetic form of political exhaustion and lack of vision.”
The statement highlighted that the political discourse of the CHP administration in İzmir has not found a response and that the public rejects this language.
