AK Party Spokesperson Çelik's statement on "cross-border operations": The Turkish Armed Forces will begin ground operations as soon as the order is given.

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik addressed the cameras after the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. Speaking about President Erdoğan's recent statement, "Our cross-border operations are always on our agenda for the security of our country and the peace of our citizens. If we feel threatened, we are ready to start our cross-border operations at any moment," Çelik stated that the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) is ready for a ground operation at any time.

MESSAGE FROM AK PARTY SPOKESPERSON ÇELİK ON "CROSS-BORDER OPERATIONS"

Çelik said, "I can say that we are closely monitoring the movements of terrorist organizations or developments that are being activated by certain centers. Years ago, a decision was made for a military operation, and planning was underway. We are not in such a situation now. Developments in our region are extremely dynamic. The TSK is on alert to act as soon as the instructions given by our President are issued, and it is constantly being updated.

"TSK IS READY TO START OPERATIONS WHEN INSTRUCTED"

We are aware of the movements of terrorist organizations in the region. When instructed, the TSK will be in a position to simultaneously begin this ground operation. Our most important sensitivity is to maintain a depth of 30 kilometers. As soon as we see any formation within Syria and Iraq up to 30 km deep from the Turkish borders, we consider it a primary threat, and the necessary operation will take place.

Previously, when this strip was violated, attempts were made to establish certain terrorists by advancing. Those speaking on behalf of the CHP criticized the blue homeland and these ground operations. If these operations had not taken place, there would have been actual state-like formations of ISIS and PKK right under our noses. The TSK has dismantled these.
