As November comes to an end, the winter season has started to make its presence felt. Starting from midnight tonight, cold and rainy weather will affect the Marmara Region, especially Istanbul. TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BY 10 DEGREES ALL OF A SUDDENThe Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Management Department (AKOM) announced that temperatures will drop suddenly by 8-10 degrees starting tomorrow (November 21). The statement indicated that strong Southwesterly winds and Northwesterly winds, along with heavy downpours, are expected to begin from midnight tonight and continue until Saturday (November 23). AKOM warned Istanbul residents about potential adverse conditions related to the weather. SEVERE STORM AND RAIN ARE COMINGThe warning from AKOM included the following statements: "It is expected that a wind coming from the Southwesterly and Northwesterly directions over the Central Mediterranean will strengthen and bring short-term storms along with heavy rain showers in the Marmara Region, especially in Istanbul, on Thursday, November 21, and Saturday, November 23. Therefore, a sudden drop in temperatures by 8-10 degrees is anticipated. Due to the strong winds and rains expected to start at midnight on Thursday and continue until Saturday afternoon, it is important for our citizens to be cautious and take precautions against possible adverse conditions."
