"THE JAR WITH THE LARGEST CIRCUMFERENCE FOUND"

Among the artifacts, the most striking is a red pottery jar from the Tang Dynasty, discovered in 1976 in Gongbaizi Village, Wensu County. The jar, which is 135 meters tall, has a diameter of 45 and a circumference of 420 centimeters, was shaped using the clay strip wrapping method and fired at high temperatures. It is said to be a thousand years old and was used for storing food. It is considered the artifact with the largest circumference among the ancient pottery jars discovered in Xinjiang to date.
