Alisya Bahar Candan, who was taken to the hospital due to self-harm in prison, has been returned to the prison where she is being held after receiving treatment. Candan is facing a prison sentence of up to 44 years.
Social media influencer Alisya Bahar Candan, who was arrested and sent to prison in November last year, was taken to the hospital because she harmed herself in prison. After completing her treatment, Candan was taken back to the prison where she was held.
UP TO 44 YEARS IN PRISON
As part of the investigation conducted by Küçükçekmece Public Prosecutor's Office, an indictment was prepared against 22 suspects, including Alisya Bahar Candan and her sister Gülnihal Çiçek, who is known as "Nihal Candan" in the public, for "being a member of a criminal organization," "fraud," and other crimes. In the indictment, it is requested that Alisya Bahar Candan be sentenced to 14 to 44 years in prison for the crimes of "being a member of a criminal organization" and "fraud," and Gülnihal Çiçek be sentenced to 8 to 24 years in prison.
HER SISTER WAS RELEASED
Bahar Candan was arrested on November 16, 2023, on charges of "money laundering" as part of the investigation conducted by Küçükçekmece Public Prosecutor's Office. Nihal Candan, Bahar Candan's sister, was released with a doctor's report due to her illness of not being able to eat in prison, which caused her weight to drop to 47 kilograms.
