Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who is alleged to have organized tender processes by bribing mayors, has been taken into custody as part of an investigation into a criminal organization. Out of the 25 suspects detained on the grounds of tampering with tenders at İSFALT and IETT, which are affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), 9 have been referred to the peace criminal court with a request for their arrest. It has been requested that 16 suspects be released under judicial control conditions.
The investigation into the criminal organization led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who is accused of bribing mayors to organize tender processes, is ongoing by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
ARREST WARRANT FOR 25 SUSPECTS As part of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for 25 suspects, including individuals involved in the commissions of tenders identified as having been manipulated by the criminal organization, which received funds from ISFALT and IETT, affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Additionally, searches and seizures were conducted at the addresses of the suspects located in Istanbul, Antalya, Çanakkale, Trabzon, Bursa, and Giresun.
THEY WERE REFERRED TO THE COURT After being detained, IETT General Manager İrfan Demet, ISFALT Deputy General Manager Levent Tunca, ISFALT Administrative Affairs Manager Murathan Altınışık, ISFALT Support Services Chief Göktunç Şentürk, ISFALT Purchasing Manager Rana Uysal, IETT Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Department Head Kazım Taylan Sever, IETT İkitelli Garage Manager Halil İbrahim Kaya, IETT Communication Manager Ali Haydar Topçu, IETT Financial Services Department Head Şeyhmus Oral, IETT Planning Chief Ülkü Kaya, IETT Kağıthane Garage Manager Samet Alptuğ Arıkan, ISFALT European Side Implementation Manager Sencer Hacıoğlu, IETT Retired Purchasing Department Head Taşkın Ilıca, IETT Yunus Garage Branch Manager Şevket Eygi, ISFALT European Side Implementation Department Chief Ahmet Savaş, former ISFALT General Manager Burak Sırali, IETT Tender Affairs Branch Manager Cevdet Akarsu, Oktay Aktaş, Mehmet Karataş, Zafer Sola, Erenay Delipınar, Murat Delice, Halil Yanmaz, Veli Rıdvanoğlu, and Vahdet Melikoğlu were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse after completing their procedures at the police station.
REQUEST FOR ARREST OF 9 SUSPECTS Of the 25 suspects whose statements were completed at the prosecutor's office, 9 were referred to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for arrest. It was requested that 16 suspects be released under judicial control. Additionally, it was learned that IETT General Manager İrfan Demet, ISFALT Deputy General Manager Levent Tunca, and IETT Financial Services Department Head Şeyhmus Oral were among the suspects requested to be released under judicial control. Information was obtained that 9 suspects, including former ISFALT General Manager Burak Sırali, ISFALT Purchasing Manager Rana Uysal, and ISFALT European Side Implementation Manager Sencer Hacıoğlu, were among those referred to the court with a request for their arrest.
