In the investigation conducted regarding the allegation of manipulation in some stocks on Borsa Istanbul, 10 suspects were detained. It was determined that artificial price movements were created in the transactions in question.
Ten suspects were detained as part of an investigation into allegations of manipulation in some transactions on the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) stock market. The investigation, conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, revealed that artificial price movements were created through speculation on certain stocks, as determined by reports from the Capital Markets Board (CMB).
10 SUSPECTS DETAINED IN OPERATION
In the investigation, it was determined that the suspects committed the crimes of "establishing an organization to commit a crime" and "information-based market fraud." Following the prosecutor's detention order, teams from the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch of the Provincial Police Department conducted operations at identified addresses in Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Samsun, and Kahramanmaraş. In the operation, 10 suspects were detained.
